  • Image 1

Product Description

Green Building and sustainability is a rapidly evolving area of practice affecting all professionals in the building industry--increasingly in Louisiana, and increasingly including attorneys. This presentation will help construction attorneys understand the principles and processes behind Green Building practices, and will provide an understanding as to how these “Green” practices can affect the legal and contractual arrangements on a construction project.  Participants will gain an understanding on Green rating systems and how these systems can be used in contracts, the common pitfalls involved with Green Building, and the best practices to avoid those pitfalls.  The session will also cover the new opportunities opening up to attorneys with the growth of Green Building and will discuss the issue of attorneys and LEED accreditation.
