  • An Analysis of LRS 23:1161.1 and its stated requirement for a claims office within the State or retention of a licensed claims adjuster for issuers of workers compensation insurance. 
  • A discussion of LRS 23:1161.1 and its effect and applicability. 
  • The panelists will discuss the history of licensing of adjusters in LA, the pros and cons of licensing workers compensation adjusters, why adjusters in other fields are licensed, why workers compensation adjusters are presently excluded from the licensing requirement, and the provisions of Section 1161.1.
